Our Golden Oldies...

As the weather aligned perfectly, it was like the Universe knew it was Teddy & Erica's time to shine. At 33 years old, Teddy may just be the oldest horse I have photographed.

Capturing a relationship that goes as far back as to when Erica was in high school brought back so many memories to when I was in high school, skipping class to go muck stalls, ride and spend time with the horses. These relationships are so special and so many memories these two hold together are shown in each of these images. The bond they created is evident and beautiful to witness as both have matured and gained so much wisdom since those times.

At 33 years old, Teddy has such a beautiful character with so much wisdom and spunk left in him. I loved capturing his unique look and the beautiful bond between him and Erica.

Photographing our Golden Oldies looks a little different then working with a horse in the midst of their prime.

The topline may not be as strong as it once was, hair may be a little scruffier and it may be a little more difficult for them to stand as square as they once could.

What I can promise you, I will take the time to position your partner to catch them in their best light. Focusing a little more on the details and if we need to take the extra time, we will.
