When you give a girl a horse....

When you give a girl a horse, you will change the trajectory of her life. You teach responsibility, hard work and grit. She will learn quickly, not everything comes easy and some things take time, dedication and perseverance. Naturally she will develop dedication, patience and poise. She will learn to love another being so deeply, that absolutely nothing will stand in her way.

I met Eberley many years ago. I used to board my horse at their family farm in Roslin, Ontario. I always knew her to be a polite, cheerful and helpful little girl. Always wanting to learn more and work with the horses, just like her mom. Years later, and it was finally time for her photoshoot with her horse. At this point, I knew she had grown up. She was 2 feet taller with beautiful long blonde hair and I could see she had developed so much more confidence, especially around the horses. She was relaxed, confident and listened to my instructions absolutely perfectly. Her transformation from a little girl to poised young lady was beautiful, and I am so grateful I got to capture it.
