What happens when two passions collide?

The creation of Jessie Ann Photography.

I think if you've landed on my page, we have one thing in common: our LOVE of horses! Big ones, little ones, brown ones, grey ones, ALL of them!! I believe they are one of the most beautiful and majestic creatures on this planet. Every horse has its own personality and we have the pleasure to get to know them. What brings me joy is being able to get to know the couples I work with and capture their own unique connection, preserving these cherished memories forever.

Get to know me...

What makes me so passionate about Equine Photography? I caught the "horse bug" at a young age. I remember doing anything I could just so I could spend more time in the barn. Clean stalls? I'm your girl. Scrub water buckets? Call me! I never felt more at peace than in the barn. 25 years later, not much has changed. Just ask me husband! LOL. If I am not at my day job or at a photoshoot, you will typically find me in the barn with my 15-year old Quarter Horse, Bobby Dazzler. He holds a special place in my heart. I have learned more in the 6 years with Bobby then I did the previous 20+ years of riding. He was the horse that pushed me to grow not only a rider but also a horsewomen. I believe we were meant to cross paths and he is the big reason for where I am today. .

So this photography thing...

Growing up I was always the "photographer" amongst my friends and family. I loved capturing emotions and even at that young age valued having memories to look back on. Never once did it cross my mind that I would become a professional photographer. A few years ago, I was walking through the barn and someone asked me: "If you could have any job in the world, what would it be?" Without any hesitation, the word "photographer" spontaneously came out. Here is where my two passions unite! I began my photography journey shooting anything and everything I could and quickly learned what filled my heart: delivering a gallery that captures that intimate bond between two souls . And from their, its history!

Fact 1.

I have a furball family. I have a Shih Tzu/Maltese name Colby aka Bean who is 11 years old and still thinks he 2. He has two feline brothers name Roland & Dewie whom completely run the house. If I could, I think I would add a couple goats, a cow and maybe even a monkey.

Fact 2.

During my time spent with horses, I have ridden both english and western. My current challenge has been to transform my spicy ex barrel horse into a calm, cool and collected dressage prince.

Fact 3.

If I had to chose between between coffee or my husband it would be a very tough day...for my husband. LOL Jk, he is the best and often assisting with ears, carrying my bag or changing my lens.
